With the adaptive boost on, what is the limit for a safe operation with the i9-11900k?

If the heavy-load temperature is averaging somewhere in the range 85c-90c, with only short-duration spikes to higher temperatures (but not all the way to Tjmax (~100c)), then you are doing just fine. I wouldn't disable anything unless the cooling solution cannot keep up with these numbers - but the response should be to fix the cooling solution, not disable features. Do you want the highest performance or not?

You don't want to go over 85C.  You should be running 80C now ... right?

I am not running anything. I didn't start to assemble it yet. Gathering facts...

So, if I am NOT using the adaptive boost, what should I expect then, 70-75C?
