Hi, 4 days ago I invested in an upgrade (I retired my old i7 4790k) and I have temperature spikes that are due to this new CPU, the i7 14700k, I have checked everything, my cooling, etc. With little activity, that is, a pdf reader, obsidian, and some chrome tabs, it reaches 35 to 40 degrees celcius, normal let's say. But it has these temperature spikes that raise it to 65 or 70 degrees out of nowhere, but absolutely out of nowhere and in 3 seconds it goes down again. I'm using a gigabyte z790 ud ax, with the latest bios update F11d. It's really annoying, because as soon as I start to demand anything from the pc, the temperatures will quickly easily reach 100 degrees, and I'm afraid that this will degrade the useful life of the processor. So far, I'm doing the same thing I did with my old processor, and the latter didn't go above 35 degrees Celsius. It's incredible to have trusted Intel and then these problems appear and they aren't clear and don't give a solution. All my savings went into upgrading a PC that I use for literally everything. I feel very frustrated really. I always preferred Intel, and that's even though it's more expensive than the competition, right now I don't know what I can do.

Try the steps listed here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005791/processors/intel-core-processors.html#:~:text=Intel®%20Processors%20have%20built,prevent%20damage%20to%20your%20system.
Incase the issue is the same, try running the intel diagnostic tool. Here’s the link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005567/processors.html
