I have recently installed a temperature monitoring program only to find that as soon as I log into Windows 11, my temps on my 14700K will fluctuate from 30c to the mid 60s. I have it cooled with a Corsair H100i RGB Pro XT. The temps only fluctuate for about 5-10 minutes. Is this typical of the 14700K or is it some background processes making the cpu work so hard?
Ive run some R24 benchmarks and it never go higher than 88c and the average is the mid 60c.

Friction, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.
We will be more than glad to assist you with this matter.
In reference to your question, yes, that is typical for the Intel® Core™ i7 processor 14700K. The T-junction for this unit is 100°C, any temperature result equal to or lower than that value is considered normal and expected for this model:
In order to rule out a possible hardware issue with the processor, please install and run the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool, it does an overall test on the unit and if it passes the test it means it is working properly:
Just in case, here you have the "Overheating Symptoms and Troubleshooting for Intel® Boxed Processors", article with further details about this subject:
Any questions, please let me know.

Friction, You are very welcome. Thank you very much for your reply.
Perfect, it is great to hear that the processor passed all tests meaning that there is no hardware issue with it and that it is working properly. You can also read about the symptoms of overheating in the link provided previously to be aware of how the system behaves in that situation and what to do to try to fix it.
Any other inquiries, do not hesitate to contact us again.
