Is there problem with Thermal Throttling?

Should I have to worry? Look images below.

Dell G5 15 5587 (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.21 GHz, 64 bit,

Hello IntsSed ,

 

Your processor is alright as the T Junction temp. for your processor i.e. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.21 GHz is 100 deg C, As per yu ran the test results the max temp. which you got is 85 deg C. So there is no issue with your system.

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.


If you want to check if your processor is working correctly with a validated software please use our IPDT tool, if the results show passed, it means that the processor is working correctly and, in case that you are not experiencing any problems related to the use of the laptop you shouldn't worry about the message from the XTU since as it has been discussed before, that software is not compatible with your build; therefore, no changes should be performed with it. What we recommend will be to delete it from your system with the following instructions.


  1. Use the Windows* 10 Apps and Features.
  2. Search for Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility.
  3. Click uninstall.
  4. Open the Task Manager..
  5. Check under Processes for XtuService
  6. If found, click End Task.
