Hello, my i7-14700k (bought back in april 2024) also has the same issue. I mainly use it for gaming.
While gaming temps are 40-65°C sometimes 70. But when launching a game which is building shaders (hogwarts legacy, detroit:become human etc.) or stress-testing CPU temps instantly rise to 100°C and stays that way until building shaders is complete or stress test is over, i'm scared that this will damage my cpu over time because i was saving money for quite some time to buy this cpu. Is there something wrong with this particular cpu that I have? At my work i have a pc with the same CPU and it doesn't have any issues. Also I have experienced a game crash while building shaders and very rarely (about 5 times since april) while in-game.
Should I request RMA for my cpu?
I have the latest BIOS update (msi z790-p wifi motherboard) and latest windows updates, and i have everything on default settings, i have never overclocked my cpu before nor i will try since the 14th gen issues.
