I will be reinstalling my Sandy Bridge CPU onto my replacement (rev 3.0) motherboard. I will also be reinstalling the supplied heat-sink/fan.
Will I need to perform any additional steps regarding the Thermal Interface material to ensure optimum cooling?
i5-2500k + Asus P8P67 Pro rev 3.0

Normally you do not need to do any extra step, but if you believe that there is not enough thermal interface material to reinstall the fan/heatsink, then I would suggest removing the old thermal interface material, and applying new thermal interface material to the top of the processor.
