Hi all,
As many of us have come to know, Tiger Lake no longer supports undervolting despite plundervolt being mitigated by 11th gen Intel chips. Some have said that Tiger Lake is already tuned to be more efficient and so that's fine.
However, I am concerned because I can no longer adjust TDP values either. With temps in the 60C range my laptop maxes out around 25W sustained. Is there any reason why I cannot or should not raise PL1 values? Intel has locked this option for Tiger Lake with no explanation. I might buy a higher tier Tiger Lake chip but they aren't available now.

Undervolting is a security issue, which is why Intel has removed it.
Also, you should not have to undervolt to accomodate the poor thermal design laptop manufacturers have dumped on you.
