Hi all,

I would like to know if N3710 has any UDC.

I'm trying to use g_mass_storage with USB3.0, but I'm getting the "couldn't find an available UDC..."

Thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer.

I'm running Ubuntu with kernel 5.1.4 custom built to include the udc and gadget drivers.

Thank you.

Thank you for your support.

I can add that I'm working using the UDOO X86 ULTRA board and I'm attempting at using the UDC with g_mass_storage to simulate a thumb drive to connect to a host device.

I appreciate any help, since I got stuck here.

I can use the dummy_hcd driver to implement a virtual UDC, and g_mass_storage works on this virtual UDC, but with no effect on actual USB ports as expected..

Hello JQuei1,

Thank you for the update.

Could you please also let us know if you are trying to migrate your existing computer into a manageable Universal Desktop converter-like device (UDC) or just trying to find available a Universal Device controller?

Hi WannerG_Intel,

The extent of my knowledge doesn't comprehend that question ;)

I'm trying to use this embedded computer with the N3710 processor to emulate a USB ThumbDrive, where I can, via the shell, change the image file being used to emulate the ThumbDrive.

I was successful in doing this on an ARMv7 and also on a N3350 using the UP Squared embedded device.

I hope this is enough for having you support, as I said, I'm not very proficient on these maters.

Thank you.

Hello JQuei1,

We are writing to let you know that the configuration you are trying to achieve has to do with USB drivers that are usually provided by the operating system vendor. Since you are running Ubuntu, we recommend you to report this issue to the Linux Community at https://01.org/.

Also, you may contact your Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in case they have released specific drivers for your system.

Regards,
