Hi, I have a laptop mobile CPU I want to upgrade, but I just don't know which one works and compatible and which isn't.
I've taken the laptop apart before but the only problem is that I don't know what CPU would work on it and which socket it is.
My Specifications:
CPU: Intel Core i3 2370m
iGPU: Intel Graphic HD 3000
HDD: 500gb
RAM: 8gb (I installed 4gb extra myself).
My laptop is an Samsung NP300E5C-A07US
Also, the CPU isn't integrated onto the motherboard.
If you can also tell me what the package size is:
37.5mm x 37.5mm (rPGA988B); 31mm x 24mm (BGA1023)
I think one of them is integrated.

Also, can a third generation CPU like this work?
http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Core_i7/Intel-Core%20i7-3612QM%20Mobile%20processor%20(AW8063801130504).html Core i7-3612QMIt uses a PGA socket.
I've found out it's 988B PGA

This is your processor: http://ark.intel.com/products/53442/Intel-Core-i3-2370M-Processor-3M-Cache-2_40-GHz Intel® Core™ i3-2370M Processor (3M Cache, 2.40 GHz) Specifications
You must contact Samsung and ask them what processors are supported by their bios.
The processor must be both SOCKET and BIOS compatible.
Using a processor that is not supported by the Samsung bios may work, may work partially, may not work, and may even damage the motherboard.
