Hello,

i found a setting in UEFI BIOS "Intel Plattform Trusted Technology" PTT which is disabled. I googled a little bit and didnt understand a lot of it but basically it gives extra security i think. It would be awesome to get some extra information on PTT especially if this has any use for home users. I thought because it is from intel i come here and ask you guys.

Im using my home computer with Win10 only to browse a little bit, watch series/movies and gaming. Can i enable this to get extra security out of it or this is more a feature for business computers ? And does it affect the performance of hard or software on my computer besides maybe booting time ?

Im using a i7 6700k which is a little bit older.

Thanks in advance for the info

Intel PTT makes available the equivalent of a hardware TPM. You can use it, in conjunction with Windows 10's BitLocker feature, to encrypt your drives and protect their contents from exposure.
