Dear Intel, can you say safe voltage range fot VCCSA and VCCIO voltages? In Intel® Core™ i7 Processor Family for LGA2011-v3 Socket datasheet documented for Haswell-E this values undocumented .In documentacion for Broadwell-E documented only CPU_VCCIO/

Best regards.

/thread/117809 NX_ECX, thank you for your patience.

For the 6th Generation Intel® Core™ the values are:

VCCIO typical = 0.95 v

VCCSA typical = 1.05 v

You can check this information here: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/datasheets/desktop-6th-gen-core-family-datasheet-vol-1.pdf https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/datasheets/desktop-6th-gen-core-family-datasheet-vol-1.pdf

Now regarding your concern of safe voltages ranges for (VCCIO/VCCSA), please bear in mind that overclocking will void the warranty of the processor and due to this reason Intel® does not recommends to overclock your processor. However, you might want to go to the following link for detailed info: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/gaming/overclocking-intel-processors.html Overclock Your CPU with Unlocked Intel® Processors

Amy C can you say maximum safe voltage for uncore Broadwell-E and Haswell-E?

If i set voltage uncore(cache voltage on ASUS MBs) to 1.3v.it safety?

Let me double check for the Broadwell-E and Haswell-E.

What is your processor model?

Just adding to Amy's response, if you plan on upgrading the CPU, you MUST make certain that the motherboard BIOS supports the upgrade CPU. To do this, you must contact the manufacturer and ask them what CPUs are supported by their BIOS.

Also, it may be necessary for you to upgrade the BIOS prior to installing the new CPU.

To upgrade a processor, the upgrade processor must be socket, BIOS, and chipset compatible.

My MB(ROG Strix X99) have native support Broadwell-E and Xeons E5 v3/v4 up to Intel Xeon E5-2699-v4 (22 cores.2.2 Ghz). And i know ASUS MB incorect set VCCSA and VCCIO(more than 1.3v) when frequency RAM is more than 2133Mhz or when enabled XMP.and when overclock CPU inscrease Core and Ring voltages in dangerous ranges for Haswell-E and Broadwell-E.

/thread/117809 NX_ECX, regarding your question for the Broadwell-E and Haswell-E, in this case when we mentioned typical values that mean maximum safe values, and Intel does not recommend to overclock your processor. However, you might want to go to the following link for detailed info:https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/gaming/overclocking-intel-processors.html Overclock Your CPU with Unlocked Intel® Processors

And for the 1.3 V voltage uncore question, for this in specific one ASUS should be able to provide an answer for this.
