Hi

Can anyone tell me what version of BIOS I need for my upgraded processor Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor P8400 (3M Cache, 2.26 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB).

Have tried to upgrade from Intel Celeron 575 a couple of times, but the motherboard doesn't seem to recognize it. Only a black screen after pressing F10 on start-up after reassebling.

Any answers/tip are welcome.

Btw - I have allready upgraded to BIOS ver. F.65, 3.85M

Please keep in mind that the required BIOS is determined by the motherboard / laptop manufacturer.

So in this particular case, you most contact the laptop manufacturer so they can provide you first a list of fully supported processors for your laptop system, and them if the processor of your choice is listed as supported, then you can ask them the BIOS version required to support that particular processor.
