Seeing the amount of parameters that can be varied through the application for windows "Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU)" and how dangerous they can be for those who are not knowledgeable.
Intel can not make another application with four buttons (and whatever it has to do of other hidden settings) that allows to act on the Bios to have four modes of execution of the processor power.
Something like Windows “Processor Performance Enhancement Mode”, but better distributed?
A-Low performance: Vcore < 1.0 CPU Package Power <85 W Temperature <40ºC
B-Good performance: Vcore < 1.2 CPU Package Power <120 W Temperature <60ºC
C-Excellent performance: Vcore < 1.3 CPU Package Power <180 W Temperature <80ºC
D-Great performance: Vcore < 1.4 CPU Package Power <300 W Temperature <90ºC
I know that the digits in the example are not valid, but I think you get the idea.

Thank you Jed G.
I am glad for the consideration.
I recently read the idea of Exodus 1337 that you exposed here https://community.intel.com/t5/Processors/Request-XTU-New-Feature/mp/1628684/emcs_t/S2h8ZW1haWx8dG9waWNfc3Vic2NyaXB0aW9ufE0wT0tDT1RYMldMSVdPfDE2Mjg2ODR8U1VCU0NSSVBUSU9OU3xoSw#M77314
And it seems to me much better and perhaps simpler to implement than mine. I hope you will take it into account.
Best regards.

Yes Jed G.
The question is:
What are you doing to solve the problem “ Voltages, Powers and Temperatures 13 and 14 generation”?
In short, are you going to do something, yes or no?
Today is September 13, 2024
Greetings

Hello AMR41,
To further address your concern, I'd like you to know that our Engineering team are continuously conducting analysis to address the issue. Right now, as initial step to mitigate the issue, we released a microcode update which will primarily improve operating conditions for K/KF/KS processors.
Additionally, the microcode update (0x129) will limit voltage requests above 1.55V as a preventative mitigation for processors not experiencing instability symptoms.
You may also check out this link for more information.
Let me know if you need further assistance

At this time it doesn't look like Intel and their engineers are doing anything, Jed.
The microcode update (0x129) came out as early as the beginning of August. And since last August 7 Gigabyte has released the FJh update for my Z790 Aorus Elite AX (rev.1.x) board driving an i7-14700K.
It's a beta update, which I think is fine for those who use the pc for gaming. Those of us who bought it for work, can't depend on a beta.
I don't know if the fault is Intel's or Gigabyte's, but the result is the same. a disaster!
Today is September 18, 2024.
And to be able to use the pc safely and without voltage problems (VID or Vcore) , temperature and Core Clocks I have to use the pc with the “Processor Performance Enhancement” on Disable, inside the Advanced Power Settings of W11.
With what I get that no problems appear (as I see in HWinfo64) and at the same time I see that I am working with +/- an i5 of ninth or tenth generation, when I have paid an i7-14700K.
Is this normal?
Regards.

Hi AMR41,
I understand the situation that you are in and I would like to make a recommendation for you to try. Could you please try to reset the settings to "Intel default settings"? If the same issue persists, let me know so I can assist you further with this.
Additionally, it seems that this inquiry is the same as this thread. Please let me know if we shall focus on that thread instead.
I look forward to your response!
Best regards,
Jed G.

Good morning JedG
We can focus on the thread you want.
The issue is that Gigabyte has not yet released a Bios update that is normal, not Beta.
And you know I'm not going to install a Beta update.
That's for technicians and pc enthusiasts, not for those of us who use it for work.
Could you tell me what you mean when you say:
“Could you please try to reset the settings to “Intel default settings””.
The Z790 AORUS ELITE AX (rev.1,x) https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z790-AORUS-ELITE-AX-rev-1x#kf has the December 25, 2023 FH bios update installed which was when I bought the pc and no settings have been touched.
Greetings.

Hi AMR41
Since you already have a similar concern on this thread, please avoid asking the same question to avoid confusion with the information. If you have other questions regarding this issue, you may refer to the other thread for further assistance.
Furthermore, you may follow this link to implement the Intel Default Settings as we highly recommend using these. In case you have are having difficulties changing the values, please contact your board manufacturer as they might have a different term for those settings.
I hope this information helps you.
Best regards,
Jed G.

Dear JedG,
To avoid any confusion, I would like to reiterate that I am not interested in upgrading to a beta version of the software. Furthermore, I am not seeking a recommendation. I have purchased an I7-14700K processor and am looking for a solution that meets the specifications of this particular model.
When can we expect Intel to deliver on their commitment?
If you don't have an answer, don't answer.
Kind regards,

Hi AMR41,
I understand that you don't want to update your BIOS to a beta version. If that's the case, a new microcode 0x12B will be released. This BIOS update has been distributed to system and motherboard manufacturers to incorporate into their BIOS. We are working with our partners to rollout the BIOS update as soon as possible.
For more information about the ongoing investigation, please visit this link
Thank you so much!

Thank JedG.
I saw Thomas_Hannaford's announcement on the 25th.
I asked him if he knew how many weeks before Gigabyte publishes and I also asked Gigabyte. And I haven't had any answers.
I'm still waiting.
If you know something, please let me know.
Regards
And I just saw that Gigabyte upgraded the FJh beta (from 7 August) to FKa on 26 September https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z790-AORUS-ELITE-AX-rev-1x/support#support-dl-bios.
One day after Thomas_Hannaford's announcement.
And no mention at all of the 0x12B microcode.
And still no answer.

Hi AMR41,
Based on your manufacturers site, I can see that they introduced the microcode 0x12B on the recent BIOS version FKa last September 26,2024 here. Please contact your board manufacturer for more information and assistance in case you will update your BIOS.
Have a good one!

Thanks JedG.
Yes, I saw on the 26th that they had changed the beta to FKa, but nothing about the 0x12B update.
It was the next day when they changed the text in the description and it appears:
3.Introduction of the 0x12B microcode as a final mitigation for the 13th/14th generation desktop processor Vmin switching instability issue according to Intel official.
i. 0x12B includes microcode updates 0x125 and 0x129 and addresses high processor voltage demands during periods of idle and/or low activity.
ii. microcode 0x129 (August 2024) addresses high voltages requested by the processor.
iii. microcode 0x125 (June 2024) addresses the eTVB algorithm issue.
I've asked when the Beta FKa update will become normal, but I haven't heard back yet.
I'll keep waiting a few more days....
The PC is still running normally, but like a 10th or 9th generation i7.
Hopefully with the new update I will get the processor behaviour back to its original mode.
Kind regards.

Okay Jed.
I'll keep waiting to see what Gigabyte tells me about when they'll switch the Beta FKa update to normal.
And while this is happening, a reminder about the fundamental question of this post that I made on 08-23-2024
What happened to the queries to Intel, about an application or an update of XTU that would allow me to act as I do from Windows with the “Processor Performance Enhancement Mode”?
Greetings
