Will DDR4 laptop ram works with DDR3 laptop ram? Intel website says it supports both. But doesn't say anything about both of them working together.

I have an i5 6200u processor running on my HP laptop. I have 8GB DDR3 ram installed with one slot empty. I was thinking to upgrade to 16GB but according to the Intel support website it supports DDR4-2133 which is a DDR4 ram .

So i was thinking that my current 8GB DDR3 ram would work with a new DDR4 ram or not.

Not. They are different form factors.
