I've bought a Core i7-860 processor, and I was looking to buy an ASUS Maximus III GENE ROG motherboard to fit it in.
I checked the mobo compatibility; the more expensive Maximus III FORMULA is listed as compatible, but not the GENE, which is all I can afford right now. I'm assuming that since the GENE's an LGA-1156 socket, it'll be compatible but I don't wanna order it and return it.
So obviously my question is: Would an ASUS Maximus III GENE motherboard be compatible with a Core i7-860 processor?

I completely forgot about checking ASUS's compatability page, only checked intel's.
Thanks a lot, my mind blanked out on me so that was a big help.
