Hello dear community!
I would like to overclock my Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU to 3.0 GHz,which is on a Foxconn G31MXP motherboard.
So I would like to know if it would be safe for the motherboard, this overclock to be done?
Is the 3.0 GHz CPU frequency too high for this motherboard?
I tried to contact the manufacturer of the motherboard, but I couldn't contact them,so I decided to ask for help from the Intel community because the CPU is by Intel.
If this overclock is safe to be done,I would please you to give me a good guide or tutorial for how to I make to overclock properly.
The motherboard is Foxconn G31MXP.
Here is a screenshot of my PC's specs:
Please help me.
Thanks to all in advance.
Best regards.

not safe , because it will damage to the motherboard components .
I would recommend you upgrade the compatible processor code 2 duo series which comes base frequency 3.00Ghz .
I am using intel core 2 duo E 8500 3.16 Ghz on G41 motherboard
