Hi!
I uninstalled the Intel XTU app, but still the CPU is overclocked. I tried change the OC in BIOS, but windows keeps overriding it. In safe mode my clock speed is default (3.8 Ghz on a 10700K).
When I uninstalled XTU I clicked the delete the profile box to. But that didn't set it back to 3.8. Cause I had 4.7 as the previous default value since an old windows install, and 4.9 before uninstalling. So it only reverted back to 4.7, and not 3.8 Ghz. I have tried to get rid of all traces of the XTU app. The device manager no longer have traces of it. Nor is it any XTU services running. I do however see some XTU files in the Windows folder. No allowed to delete them. Not even in safe mode. What do I do here? I want my CPU back to it's factory settings without having to reset Windows. It's an Asus MB. I also uninstalled AI Suite 3, as I thought it might interfere, but to no avail. Can anyone please assist? It must be some leftovers some place as it is showing factory defaults in Safe Mode.

Hello Myndighetene,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I am sorry to know that you are having issues with your Intel® Core™ i7-10700K Processor.
In order to better assist you, please provide the following:
1. Run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) to gather more details about the system.
- Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18377/intel-system-support-utility-for-windows.html
- Open the application, check the "Everything" checkbox, and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change it to "Detailed View".
- To save your scan, click Next and click Save.
2. Have you set BIOS to default settings?
3. Can you take a picture of the files that you cannot delete?
4. Have you tried reinstalling the Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel® XTU) to set the options manually to default?
5. Have you enabled the Intel® Turbo Boost?
6. Please provide all the logs located at C:\ProgramData\Intel.
Regards,
Deivid A.
