XTU stopped allowing oc on 12600K ASRock Z690M-itx

I have a 12600K ASRock Z690M-itx with Windows 10 and have been able to oc the CPU with XTU as it should. After updating the bios to the latest, it says the platform does not support oc, despite that it worked previously. I tried to roll the bios back, but no luck. Any ideas about what it could be or what I need to check?

Bios, Wins, XTU and mobo drivers are all updated to the latest.

Have tried turning Intel Virtualization Technology on and off in the bios.

Hello DavidHa77e,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I am sorry to know that you are having issues with your Intel® Core™ i5-12600K Processor.

I would like to let you know that Intel does not advise or provide instructions for overclocking since altering clock frequency or voltage may damage or reduce the useful life of the processor and other system components, and may reduce system stability and performance. Product warranties may not apply if the processor is operated beyond its specifications.

The manufacturer of the motherboard is the one in charge to allow or block the overclocking features, I recommend you check with ASRock to confirm why they disable this feature.

Please keep in mind that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel.

Excuse me? The 12600K-model CPU is specifically unlocked from the factory, and the Z690 mainboards are as well, both allowing for overclocking. Intel has made the Intel Extreme Tune Utility and it provides one-click overclocking. So being able to overclock with the XTU is not a bug, but a feature I have paid extra money for, and Intel has changed me for it. Don't tell me Intel does not recommend it. It's a feature I paid for and I want it to work or I will return the motherboard and CPU because it does not work as advertised, it does not fulfill the features I paid extra for, eg allowing overclocking with XTU.

Customer service means you should help me, the customer, solve my problem with Intel's products so they work as promised, as advertised. Else I can return it and get an AMD setup.

So, please.
