Xtreme Tuning Utility and Xeon E5-1650v3

We have a HP Xeon E5-1650v3 powered system with a Liquid CPU cooler.

We installed the XTU to overclock as the HP BIOS has no settings to do this.

Problem:

Most of the time, the settings in the XTU are greyed out and cannot overclock.

We have in installed the XTU and re installed Occasionally, after a reinstall, the XTU will open with all settings available and can bump the cores to 4.0Ghz (temp stays below 50c). As soon as the computer is re started, the settings are back to the defaults and greyed out again.

Anyone know of a solution to this?

Please stay on the other thread:

Intel does not provide assistance for overclocking processor. You may need to wait for another peer that may have experienced same issue.

Allan.
