I want to buy a core i7 7700k processor but i'm not sure if i can use a pcle 2.0 slot to connect it to my mother board.

No, you cannot use a PCIe 2.0 slot to install this processor.
You must purchase/acquire a motherboard that has the PROPER socket and bios support for this processor.
