The i5-2400 is more than six years old and not supported:
http://ark.intel.com/products/52207/Intel-Core-i5-2400-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_40-GHz Intel® Core™ i5-2400 Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.40 GHz) Product Specifications
Repairing the processor or replacing the missing capacitor is not possible. It is best to replace the processor.

Hello ljh,
Doc is right; the best thing to do is to replace the unit. From our end, there is no specific documentation on fixing hardware defects, we always recommend replacing the unit if that is the case.
If you have more questions, please let me know.
Regards,
Amy.
