dualcore t2250 @ 1.73 GHz vs celeron 540 @ 1.86 GHz

Hello. I have 2 laptops : Fujitsu Siemens D9500 and an Acer Aspire 5573Z.

First problem : on the sticker on my Acer it says the processor is : T2080 : http://ark.intel.com/products/29740/Intel-Pentium-Processor-T2080-%281M-Cache-1_73-GHz-533-MHz-FSB%29 http://ark.intel.com/products/29740/Intel-Pentium-Processor-T2080-%281M-Cache-1_73-GHz-533-MHz-FSB%29 but in System Prop. it says : T2250 : http://ark.intel.com/products/27232/Intel-Core-Duo-Processor-T2250-%282M-Cache-1_73-GHz-533-MHz-FSB%29 http://ark.intel.com/products/27232/Intel-Core-Duo-Processor-T2250-%282M-Cache-1_73-GHz-533-MHz-FSB%29

Which one should I trust ?

Second problem : because the body of the Acer is quite bad I was wondering about changing the processor ,meaning to take the T2250 (or T2080) and put it in the FJ ,replacing the Celeron 540 @ 1.86 GHz : http://ark.intel.com/products/30774/Intel-Celeron-Processor-540-%281M-Cache-1_86-GHz-533-MHz-FSB%29 http://ark.intel.com/products/30774/Intel-Celeron-Processor-540-%281M-Cache-1_86-GHz-533-MHz-FSB%29

Before checking if any of them are soldered,buying the thermal paste,etc, I would like to know it it's worth it. Will there be any improvement in processing power ?

In order to determine the right processor that you have on your system, I would suggest running the Intel® Processor Identification Utility.

This tool will properly recognize the processor that you have on your laptop.

Regarding the 2nd question, first of all, you need to make sure that the laptop supports the processor that you want to install, this is if the processor is not soldered to the system.

Only the laptop manufacturer can tell you if the processor is compatible or not with a particular laptop system.
