Hello AndreaR:

Thank you very much for letting us know those results.

As you mentioned above, the problem seems to be related to software and not to hardware.

The thing is that at this point we already tried the latest graphics drives for the Intel® HD Graphics 530, which is the graphics controller the processor has.

Also we tried the BIOS update to the latest version, and install the latest drivers for the board from ASUS's web site directly.

So, from our side at this point there are not much troubleshot steps left to try, except to swap parts.

Let me apologize for any inconvenience, but the best we can do right now will be to replace the processor, or also you can always get in contact with ASUS directly to replace the board.

Any questions, please let me know.

i can say finally problem solved......... now its 12 hours uptime with 5 hours of youtube plaiyng in loop.

the problem was ram.... i buyed new dimm module to test it before send back motherboard .

and now everithing fine

never take memtest result for 100% true... i think the test can find error in pattern trasfer etc , but an eletrical problem in the dimm module is undetected.

Hello AndreaR:

Excellent, perfect, it is great to hear that the PC is working properly and there are no problems anymore.

Thank you very much for letting us know that information, and as you mentioned before, sometimes those tests are not 100% accurate, that is why we recommend to swap parts as the best way to detect a possible problem.

Once again we are glad to hear that it is working now.

Regards

Alberto

ok new update to this story .

after the last bsod i checked my new ram with memtest ... and i get a lot of error !

the model of the ram is the same as the old one (the one of the hard lock and freeze , but no error in memtest).

i buyed same type because when came back from rma i can go up to 16 GB...

i think i maked a big mistake.

aniway i downclocked the ram from the bios ... and the error in memtest disappear.

ram type :

Corsair Memory — 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 2133MHz CL15 DIMM (CMV8GX4M1A2133C15).

yes is in the qvl of my motherboard , what can i think ???? its scrap

Hello AndreaR:

Thank you very much for providing all those details.

Based on that information, the memory RAM seems to be fully compatible with the processor since the Intel® Core™ i5-6500 processor supports DDR4-1866/2133, DDR3L-1333/1600 @ 1.35V.

Did you test it just with one memory stick?

Besides that, since we basically tried all the troubleshot steps, the next thing to do will be to swap parts, either test the processor on a different board, or test the board with a different processor, that will be the next thing to do.

If you do not have the options above, then you can always check with the PC repair store if there is one close to you, or we can replace the processor for you.

Any questions, please let me know.

Alberto

when i put back memory clock to 2133 memtest found error , when downclock to 2000 , no error animore.

Hello AndreaR:

Thank you very much for that information.

Since we are sure the processor and board are working fine, then as you mentioned, the best thing to do right now will be to change the memory to avoid any more problems.

Any questions, please let me know.
