why would a core 2 duo e2160 1.8 1 meg l2 cache get better performance than a pentium D 930 2.8 with 2meg of l2 cache?

Hi,
Actually, from the following link it does not seem that the E2160 is a better performance cpu than the Pentium D 930 cpu. The only differect is that the E2160 consumes less power than the Pentium D 930. But in general, the pentium D 930 is a much better processor, which is however 'End of Life' meaning that Intel have stopped producing these processors. Also to be noted, is that the E2160 is an embedded processor, meaning that it is mostly already integrated into the system and cannot be removed. If any body else will come with a better suggestions I will appreciate.

i cant figure it out either. but the core 2 duo blows away the pentium d performance wise in my system
