What the title says, HAXM v1.1.1 wont install because it thinks VT-x is disabled, task manager says it is and there are no advanced BIOS tabs, just basics like "boot".
Anyone have a clue?
Acer Aspire v3-571
EDIT:
FYI: windows 8.1 pro x64 and hyper-v is NOT installed.

However, it looks like this feature may not be available on all computing systems. I would recommend you to check with the system manufactured to verify if your system delivers this feature, or reference the system specifications (motherboard, processor, chipset, power supply, HDD, graphics controller, memory, BIOS, drivers, virtual machine monitor-VMM, platform software, and/or operating system) for feature compatibility. Functionality, performance, and other benefits of this feature may vary depending on system configuration.
You can also check if you may need to update the BIOS on your system, or enable the feature on BIOS.
On Intel Motherboards this feature can be enabled under the "Security Tab"
In addition to that, there are customers reporting that some antivirus options prevent Haxm installation. For example the AVAST virus protection program.
