i5-11600k temperature

Need help!

I just upgraded my pc. After installing components, and running stress test/benchmarks all cores on my i5 11600k race up to 90+ degrees c. in HWmonitor.  Corsair link monitor shows cpu plate temperature at ca 30 degrees c. When stresstesting in XTU both thermal throttling and power throttling is indicated.

Specs:

Mobo: MAG Z590 TOMAHAWK WIFI

Processor: i5-11600k

Ram: Hyper X fury DDR 4 3200Mhz xmp 2.0

PSU: Corsair CS 750 M

Cpu cooler: Corsair hydro 100i V2

What could be the issue? I have tried reinstalling the cooler, with same effects.

Hello OndBrok,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

To better assist you please provide the following report and information.

Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU)

Download link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-

  • Open the application and click on "Scan" to see the system and device information
  • By default, Intel® SSU will take you to the "Summary View".
  • Click on the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".
  • To save your scan, click on "Next", then "Save".

  1. Was the processor purchased less than 30 days ago?
  2. Did you overclock the processor?
  3. Did you enable Intel XMP and if yes, what was the memory speed configured?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Thanks for the reply!

Turns out my AIO cooler had kicked the bucket. Replaced with new cooler and now all systems are nominal!

Cheers!
