I recently bought myself a new processor (i5 13600KF) and a new motherboard (ROG STRIX B760-A GAMING WIFI), and im still using my old AIO cooler (Thermaltake TH240 ARGB sync snow edition) and ive been having major overheating problems, with my bios already noting temperatures over 85 degrees celcius. ive asked some friends to take a look at it but they couldnt see where the problem stems from, i really hope one of you can help me.

The Asus ROG STRIX B760-A GAMING WIFI is a premium performance motherboard. One of the things it tries to do is to maximize the performance of the CPU, mainly by using Asus Performance Enhancement. What this does is to attempt to run all the Performance cores and Efficient cores of your CPU at the Maximum Turbo Frequency. For the Performance cores this is 5.1 GHz and for the Efficient cores it is 3.9 GHz. It uses more core voltage to do this and also sets the Power Limits to more than Intel recommend. The result is improved performance but at the expense of increased power consumption and CPU temperature. You don't say under what circumstances you are seeing over 85C. If this is a stress test then it would be normal for this motherboard and not a problem. The main thing is that the CPU temp remains under 100C and there is no sign of throttling.
