Hello,
New community member here. I am currently trying to decide between the i5-3570 and i5-3570k processor. I was wondering what the key difference is?
Basically I am looking to build a few gaming desktops for the family. Which would be better for that aspect?
Graphics card wise I am looking to get nvidia geforce series, if that matters in the decision. I thought I saw that one of the chips is more of an onboard CPU and the other is not.
Any help or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time.
Regards,
Brian

Hello,
The main difference would be that the Intel® Core™ i5 processor I5- 3570K comes with an unlocked multiplier while the Intel® Core™ i5 processor I5- 3570 has it locked.
Having the unlocked multiplier, customers have the ability to down clock or over clock the processor.
A comparison chart between these processors can be found here: http://ark.intel.com/compare/65520,65702 http://ark.intel.com/compare/65520,65702
