When I run memtest96 v 5.01 in single thread I have no problem pass all test - if I run in Multi-thread mode it freezes on test 7 about 3 mins 45 secs, with core 3 on W?
The computer tend to turn off when I am playing high performance games for over 30 minutes (Time frame variable) but my computer's specs are far higher then the recommended game specs.
Such games are: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
Battlefield 3 and 4
Crysis 2
Sleeping DogsTM
--------------------------------------
We also noticed in the Windows 7 error log has the following messages:
Critical 10/4/2013 6:56:22 PM Kernel-Power 41
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
------------------------------
Not overheating - check with hwmonitor cpuid.
No overclocking in Bios.
Help please?

Danny, I would recommend you to try the Intel® Processor Diagnostics Tool to see if it shows up any error.
It is also important to run this utility using only minimum configuration, such as motherboard, processor, memory, and only the hard drive that has the operating system installed http://www.intel.com/support/processors/sb/CS-031726.htm Processors — What is the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool?
Then, you can start adding any other component (one at the time). Please leave the video card to the end.
It is important to know that even though the stress test could be concentrated on the processor and the Memory Controller Hub, there are many other components involved.

Hi Sylvia
I ran IPDT Diagnostic test - now I would like to do an edited Test - to stress test the CPU and Memory. I tried a few settings but not having any luck - only 3.5 GB of RAM appears to be accessed out of the 16GB that my system has installed. Using Win7 task manager performance tab.
It reads all the memory - pass that test.
Memory alloc - doesn't appear to use all my memory (not sure)
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
Running IPDT 64Bit
The Memory Alloc test is 32 bit - so only 3.58 GB of memory appears to be tested.
Any suggestion?

Danny, at this point what we can do is test the CPU on another compatible motherboard, just to verify if it is or not defective.
If you want you can contact our tech support department in order to replace your processor. http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contactsupport http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contactsupport
But before, please check with the motherboard manufacture if there is a new BIOS version available that needs to be install on your system.
