I just upgraded my PC from an i5 to an i7 12tth gen. I was curious as to what the normal temperature range is at idle and under load. Right now all cores are around 55-65C. When running a game it was in the 90s. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Mr_Mayhem,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I understand that you have some inquiries about your Intel® Core™ i7-12700K Processor.
In this case, we do not have a standard temperature since this may vary depending on the cooling solution, thermal paste, and the app/tool that could be running in the background.
Any temperature under 100°C is normal and expected as well as temperatures spikes, unless, the temperature is stuck at 90°C for long periods of time or if the unit crashes.
Please let me know if you are having issues due to the temperature or if you have further questions.
Regards,
Deivid A.

Hello Mr_Mayhem,
I was checking your thread and see that we have not heard back from you. I’m going to close your post, but if you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to create a new thread.
I also recommend you check with the manufacturer of the motherboard to confirm the recommended fans or settings in the BIOS that can help with the temperatures.
Regards,
Deivid A.
