i7 4790K temperatures and voltage questions

So, I bought myself an expensive rig last year, late summer.

Since then I've struggled with the CPU's thermal behavior, trying everything possible (reseating heatsink, new thermal paste, bios update, etc etc.)

Finally, by some luck, I found the sticky thread on here at the Processors section, about the internal voltage and peak watt settings for the CPU

using the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility.

After saving in the proper settings, now my CPU maxes out its TDP to 88 W (sometimes it varies to a max of 89-90), which is still good , considering that by default, it ran with the crazy 170 W peak and OVER..

It seems my mobo just let the darn chip eat up all the juice it could and heat it like an oven.. after adjusting the settings in the utility tool, i went from a max of 97 C to 62 C.. a huge relief..

now the only issue is - that this is a software tweak on hardware based chip info, and im not seeing all of those settings in BIOS (and to be fair i dont wanna touch BIOS no longer, as undervolting my chip before, in hopes of resolving heating issues corrupted it, boot cycled for 30 minutes afterwhich it managed to corrupt itself and restore from backup - god bless UEFI DUAL BIOS)

how do i input my current settings, which are ideal for my chip, and dial them in hard - so every time my system operates, it does with the actual normal values ?

or should i search for a BIOS update, flash it and hope that it will give me some more options ?

any help would be greatly welcomed!..
