i7-5500 CPU @ 2.4GHz support dual monitors?

I have a HP Spectre laptop with i7-5500 CPU @ 2.4GHz. Just purchased two ViewSonic VP2768 PRO 27 monitors. They are set up in extended desktop mode one HDMI connection and one mini display port to display port resolution 2560 x 1440 for both displays. HDMI connector is 4K UHD compatible.

Problem: The monitor connected with the HDMI connection goes on an off for a few seconds every few seconds to a minute. HDMI connection is fine if only one monitor plugged in.

Wondering if processor is good enough to support the two monitors or if there is a solution I have not discovered?

The processor supports up to three displays:

You should use ONLY the drivers from HP for your graphics, and you should contact HP for support.
