Hello Gotchie15,

Thank you for joining this Intel Community.

I understand that the temperature of your processor increases when you run 3D rendering applications. I would like to provide more information about this issue.

According to https://ark.intel.com/, your Intel® Processor is running within specifications. This means that the temperature you are getting should not damage your processor or other components in your computer. You can check this under the Product Specification page of the processor, click Package Specifications to determine Tjunction, the maximum temperature allowed at the processor die.

https://ark.intel.com/products/126686/Intel-Core-i7-8700-Processor-12M-Cache-up-to-4_60-GHz

Because you are running demanding applications, the processor is capable of generating a fair amount of heat. However, to make sure it is working correctly, please run the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool and attach the report. This will allow us to review your system environment and processor functionality.

Also, please scan your system using the Intel® System Support Utility to get useful information about your computer.

1.Download the Intel® System Support Utility and save the application to your system.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-?product=91600

2.Open the application and click Scan to see system and device information. The Intel® System Support Utility defaults to the Summary View on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says summary to change to Detailed View.

3.To save your scan, click Next and click Save. You can save the file to any accessible location on your computer.

4. Attach the report to this thread.

Hello Wanner G.

I’m not use to write on blogs so please forgive any communication errors.

I have Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz on my HP EliteOne 800 G4 23.8-in Touch AiO with Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Versione: 17134.765.

I also find a bit high temperature (around 90°C) running just the Windows app Foto (or Photo in English?), could be a normal behaviour ?

I followed your suggestion above running test SSU and IPDT. I tried to attach the reports but it doesn'work, so I could send them by email as you suggested to Gotchie15

Thank you very much for your feedback about
