Hello Hregoth,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

Could you let us know the duration for which you've been experiencing this issue? Did it occur right from the start when you integrated the unit? Also, could you outline the troubleshooting measures you've already undertaken?

We have a publicly available troubleshooting guide, and I'm curious to know if you've had the chance to follow it. It's specifically designed for addressing Overheating Symptoms and Troubleshooting for Intel® Boxed Processors.

Dear Caguicla,

You can find all related answers below.

I'm facing this issue after I completed the built and installed a few application and game.

I'm updated the bios. It was Asus AI before now intel settings. Also changed to  PL1 150 and  PL2 253 according to intel i9 14900ks information.

My all fans are works. Even they works perfectly I setted up them to extreme fan speed.

I've Corsair iCUE H115i ELITE CAPELLIX XT Liquid CPU Cooler ( 280 mm ) for my CPU. I unmounted the this fan then re-apply Corsair TM30 thermal paste again and mounted again. Nothing changed.

Now I'm getting error Code 00. That means my motherboard can't define or find CPU. I was dreaming the make a really good PC but now I've sadness ad regrets instead of a happiness. My old system is i9-9900 K with 2080ti gpu I really pushed the system but this CPU doesn't go over 83 degree but my new system with 15 fans and whole new technology it's starts 85 degree on system idle. I really can't understand.

Hello Hregoth,

Thank you for reaching out.

It can be truly disheartening to encounter issues with a system you've just set up. I understand your situation.

Can you confirm if your system no longer boots due to an error? A practical approach to pinpoint the problem is hardware swap testing. You could try your CPU on a different motherboard or test another CPU with your current setup.

In the absence of extra components, starting your system with only the essential hardware—like the power supply, CPU and a single memory module—could help rule out other hardware issues. Clearing the CMOS might also prove beneficial.

Should these steps not resolve the issue, please consider reaching out to the retailer from whom you purchased the product to explore warranty options. Alternatively, you're welcome to submit a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) request with us. For your convenience, here is the link to proceed: [Intel Support Tickets].

When submitting your ticket, feel free to reference this community thread and mention that you have already conducted troubleshooting steps.

I hope this helps, and I wish you the best in resolving this swiftly.

Dear Caguicla,

Unfortunately I couldn't solve the boot issue. I 've tried clear CMOS result is same. I 've mounted part by part but it didn't change anything.  I mounted my cpu ( 14900KS ) on another motherboard. Problem is still the same.

I had to buy another CPU for testing. This time I  got i9-14900K instead of KS. I mounted new cpu ( 14900K ) on my new system now looks like it's works without any issue. If I don't get any problem like one week I can be sure this cpu works properly.

I'll try intel support ticket  for my 14900KS. I hope I can get credit for it.

Thanks anyway for support.

Best regrads

Hello Hregoth,

Thank you for your reply.

Swapping out the current CPU for a different one is the quickest method to determine the source of the issue. You are welcome to open a support ticket at your convenience to begin the warranty claim process for your CPU. If you need more information or further help, please don't hesitate to submit a new inquiry. Please note that we will no longer be tracking this discussion thread.
