intel Driver and support assistant update performance issues

Intel i5 13700kb installed.   I'm having an issue where the driver and support assistant is causing the computer to have noticeable delays while gaming while running in the background.  The assistant states I'm up to date, and stopping the services fixes the issue, however, it relaunches on its own.   Is there a setting I can toggle somewhere to automatically start and stop the program at specific times of the day?

The performance issues are surprising as task manager doesn't show a really high utilization of anything.  it feels more that it's hogging the system interrupts.

There's no setting that I know of, but this seems like is a good feature for a future version of iDSA. Regarding your issue, it sounds to me like iDSA is perhaps accessing the network interface at a higher priority than the game (thought for @Monique_Intel's team to investigate).

@mwolvinm I am the Project Manager for IDSA. Please provide your IDSA log files for our developers to investigate if the IDSA service is impacting your performance. Here's an article explaining how to locate & zip your IDSA logs: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000089850/software/software-applications.html

@n_scott_pearson Thank you for bringing this to my attention,

Hi @mwolvinm

Open Windows Settings, Apps>Installed apps. Uninstall the Intel Computing Improvement Program and you should be free of it.

You agreed to install this future during installing Intel DSA but it is not necessary.

In addition you may disable the Intel DSA during Windows startup.  You may use only when you want.
