intel i5 12400

Hi! I have a i5 12400 and I am going to buy ddr5 RAM and saw that the cpu supports "Up to DDR5 4800 MT/s" so can I not buy any RAM faster than 4800 or will it still work if I got 5600-6000?

To answer your inquiry, in our intel website for specifications of Intel Core i5-12400 (Intel® Core™ i5-12400 Processor), the processor can support up to DDR5 4800 MT/s, you can still buy a much higher version of that RAM, but still will just reach up to 4800 MT/s.

Unless you will perform "Overclocking" which might reach a much higher megatransfers per second of the RAM you will buy.

Mind you, if the system was overclocked, including voltage/frequency beyond the processor supported specifications, your processor voids warranty.
