intel processor for gaming desktop pc

Hello, 

my name is Bruce, i have a second generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.30 GHz.

i need to know what intel processor that's 8th generation or newer i need that has the same capability as the second generation processor that i can use for my gaming pc as i need it to upgrade to windows 11 but i am unable to upgrade to windows 11 as the processor is not compatiable with windows 11 and i do play games like Star Trek Online and Star Wars: The Old Republic and i need the 8th generation or newer intel processor to be compatible with those two games but also needs to be compatible with windows 11 but yet won't break the bank...

Just about any 8th gen processor will have the same capability or GREATER than your 2nd gen processor.

However, if you are looking to replace the 2nd gen processor with an 8th gen or later processor, you cannot do that.

Just purchase a new desktop or laptop with an 8th gen or later processor.
