hello all,
I want to upgrade my intel core i7 processor to a processor with at least 10 cores and my budget is around 50K only. will the intel i9 with 10 cores work instead of intel Xeon as suggested till now? in terms of speed what's the difference between intel core i9 with 10 cores and intel xeon with 10 cores.

sorry for the incomplete information. I have i7 8th gen with 6 cores. Actually I am working on some simulation related work, its been suggested that for high speed I need to buy intel xeon with at least 10 cores. but I have the budget of 50,000 only to buy the processor (as I already have the system). so if upgrade my processor to i9 with 10 cores. will it work for me?

Well, that's not much of a budget to make any kind of a significant upgrade to what you have. It also rules out replacing the motherboard, which means you are stuck with processors that go into the LGA1151 socket. This will limit you to a maximum of 8 Cores. Here's a comparison of the available (Core i9-9900 family) processors: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/compare.html?productIds=192990,192987,191044,192943,190887,186605,191789.
