Hi,
i have a pb with a I5 760 1156.
i use a gigabyte p55-usb3 / 2g g-skill 1600Mhz / 650W / 4350Radeon : i ear 40-50 short speed beep, 3 seconds of silence, etc,...
i try the same proc on a p55-ud3r / 2G kingston 1333Mhz / 750W / 240GT nvidia : same problem.
i try without ram or graphic card : same problem.

Hello,
Assuming that you have a recommended power supply and using a compatible memory.
http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-p55-usb3.pdf http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-p55-usb3.pdf
The only way to find out whether the cpu is faulty or not is to test it on another compatible motherboard.
Please check on Gigabyte website for the beep code:

All the best,
Kind Regards,
Aryan.

Most probably you will need to try the cpu on another compatible board or try another compatible cpu on the current motherboard.
Let's wait and see.
