While many of the 6th generation Core i5 processors list 1866/2133 as their maximum, most should have no issues running at 2400. Those that do not can operate these same DIMMs at 2133.

The 5th generation Core i5 processors do not support DDR4 memory. They only support DDR3 memory.

Hello LGóme Scott is correct above, however, we recommend checking with the motherboard manufacturer since they will validate the compatibility and support for the processor, BIOS and memory with their board. Here is the specification sitefor the Intel® processor: https://ark.intel.com/products/88184/Intel-Core-i5-6500-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3-60-GHz- Regards, Leonardo C.
