"Unknown error" message appears during installation of Intel(R) Chipset Device Software ver. 10.1.18716.8265. Several error codes in log files (attached) during extract of the SetupChipsetx64.msi and NullDrivers.cab files:

MSI (s) (D0:CC) [09:36:11:802]: PROPERTY CHANGE: Adding PackagecodeChanging property. Its value is '1'.
MSI (s) (D0:CC) [09:36:11:802]: Package name extracted from package path: 'SetupChipsetx64.msi'
MSI (s) (D0:CC) [09:36:11:802]: Package to be registered: 'SetupChipsetx64.msi'
MSI (s) (D0:CC) [09:36:11:802]: Note: 1: 2205 2: 3: Error

The process cannot access the file 'C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{E34643DD-962A-4CE6-B792-FF6917E6486E}v10.1.18716.8265\NullDrivers.cab' because it is being used by another process.

I start support case for this issue.

Hello Dimitry_K,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

I could see that we have created an internal case that is currently under work, please kindly refer to that case for more updates on this behavior.

In this case, we will proceed to close this thread to avoid duplication of effort and the support will continue through the internal case.
