i have a Samsung NF110 netbook with Intel Atom N455 processor clocked at 1.66GHz. win7 starter operating system, and 1G RAM.
its running a bit slow because according to CPU meter, CPU most of the time goes to 100% even just simple surfing and opening another application. it can hardly do multi tasking. i want to improve its performance by, perhaps, replacing the processor.
Is intel atom N280 enough? is there a way to do that without upgrading the ram or OS? or if not, what are your recommendations? thanks a lot!

Hi,
If you want to do a processor upgrade, first you should check with the Netbook manufacturer if this upgrade is possible, most of Atom based systems do not allow this change because they are embedded to the motherboard.
If this would be possible the Netbook manufacturer will give you a list of compatible processors and usually the OS should be reinstalled.
.

Dago M.
