what types of processors that support VM function in VMX operation?

my processor is i7-2600, however i find it not support VM function in VMX operation by querying

IA32_VMX_PROCBASED_CTLS2 MSR register. i would like to know what types of processors

that support VM function in VMX operation? thanks!

When using VM, I believe you are referring to Virtual Mode.

If that is the case, keep in mind that the Intel Core i7-2600 supports Intel® Virtualization Technology (VT-x)

And Intel® Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VT-d) as showing at:

So due to the fact that the processor supports this feature, the software should work fine, if that is not the case, I would suggest contacting the software developer to see about the processor requirements for the software to run properly.
