How do I check if a processor is an "x86-64" type? The one I am looking at now is the Ultra 7 165H. I am looking at purchasing a laptop that complies with matlab's system requirements:
https://au.mathworks.com/support/requirements/matlab-system-requirements.html
I can find the AVX2 spec here:
But the x86-64 thing is not explicitly stated.

Hello CHM1,
Thank you for your patience.
I am writing to provide clarity on the compatibility of the Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 processor 165H with MATLAB software.
To confirm whether a processor belongs to the "x86-64" category, one should look for descriptors such as "64-bit", "Intel 64", "x64", or "64-bit Intel Architecture" within the processor's specifications. I can confirm that the Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 processor 165H is indeed a 64-bit processor, aligning with these terms.
In relation to MATLAB's system requirements, the software stipulates a minimum of any Intel or AMD x86-64 processor with at least two cores. The Ultra 7 165H not only meets this requirement but also supports the AVX2 instruction set, making it fully compatible with MATLAB as per the specifications provided.
It is also important to ensure that the laptop's other specifications, including RAM and storage, adhere to MATLAB's recommendations to achieve optimal performance.
Should you wish to verify the Instruction Set/Instruction Set Architecture of the processor, simply refer to the term "Instruction Set" on the processor's ark page for accurate information.
