xeon for video

I am now doing video editing on my workstation. This computer has an Intel S5000XVN motherboard with 2 Xeon 5150 2.66 Ghz dual core processors. With all the HD video I'm doing, I thought it might be helpful to upgrade to quad-core processors. Not being conversant in all things Xeon, any help choosing which family of processors would be best for me would be greatly appreciated. Or indeed, whether or not an upgrade is possible.
