Hello! everyone,I had a problem with Flash recently
I used to use Cyclone V (5CEFA7F27I7N) with Quartus 13.1, and the flash I used is MX25L25635EZNI-12G, I add
[EPCS-C22019] # EPCQ256N (Eon-lead-free)
sector_size = 65536
sector_count = 512
to the nios2-flash-override.txt according to the online tutorial,
and then I use the NIOS flash programmer to Program my code to FLASH,it runs correctly after restart.
However, this time I changed the MX25L25635EZNI-12G to the MX25L25635FZ2I-10G (the Identifier of the two flash is all EPCS-C22019,so I don't need to change the nios2-flash-override.txt ),the FPGA I used is Cyclone V (5CEFA5U19I7N) all the rest of the configuration is the same, It didn't work! after I restart it had no code to run! I don't know why,
it's some problem with Flash or Quartus version?
do someone have some suggestion or have the same problem? I need your help! thank you!

Does the second (new) device program successfully? - It should be obvious if it doesn't.
Are you absolutely convinced you're programming the new part with the same configuration file? Sorry this sounds daft but it's happened (several times) on the forum before...
Cheers,
Alex

Hi,
I am sorry to tell you that we do not support issue related to 3rd party flash and the nios2-flash-programmer is no longer supported. We recommend customer to use Quartus Programmer to update the flash. You may refer to https://www.intel.cn/content/altera-www/global/zh_cn/index/documentation/suc1427659050061/suc1427659183639.html on how to use Quartus programmer to program flash for Nios II booting
