A problem when building preloder image file

Hello, 

I want to build preloder image file. I open BSP editor and build a new BSP.It generate a .bsp file.Then I press the generate button,and it start to generate. But it stayed in this interface(show in the picture) and never finished. In detail describe all your operations and include your archived folders, please. If not secret. 

We also try, and if retryes, will be send this example to Altera.  If try using Altera-s original GHRD, no problem ? I generate it fastest than 1 sec. Before this bad state, was moments, when Generate work ?  This is now very stable behaviour ? If I run Altera Embedded Command Shell 14.0, permanently see strange messages as "bash: cannot set terminal process group: no job control in this shell", "Innappropriate ioctl for device", in 2/3 cases Shell generally appears and fast closes, error message is not visible. In 13.1 all was OK. Try you differing versions of SoC ? 4 now available on Altera site.

My OS is windows 7 ,64 bit. My archived folders is in E:\alteraproject\de1_soc_GHRD. I used Altera-s original GHRD, and it came out as the picture shows before. 

My Altera Embedded Command Shell is 14.0. I will try 13.1 later.

If your project is equal with Altera-s, I create d:/alteraproject/de1_soc_GHRD (sorry, E: absent), copy there all from C:/Altera/14.0/embedded/examples/hardware/cv_soc_devkit_ghrd (200M), delete all subfolder software/spl_bsp (created if before experiment), run Shell in 6 retryes, bsp-editor from these, choose File/New BSP, select path for create project to d:/alteraproject/de1_soc_GHRD/hps_isw_handoff/soc_system_hps_0, create BSP, press Generate -- 1 sec, and OK! Then press Exit, in Shell press "cd d:/alteraproject/de1_soc_GHRD/software/spl_bsp", "make", and in 2 minutes Preloader its ready. 

My system is analogous. Try similarly make Preloader in original folder, then copy it to work folder, recompile, and only then edit GHRD.

Using the example project in E:/Altera/14.0/embedded/examples/hardware/cv_soc_devkit_ghrd, I successfully build the preloader image file and device tree.But I still don't understand why I can't use GHRD in DE1-SOC_V.1.2.0_SystemCD. 

Anyway thank you for sloving my problem. I will try out if I can build preloader image file successfully after I edit this example.

I met your problems and solved this problem.  

You should update the Qsys components for 14.0 and recompile the project in quartus ii 14.0. then you can use bsp-editor to build the preloder image file.
