Active serial configuration problem

Hi,

This probably a very lame question, but I'm sort of stuck.

I have Cyclone II mini board, all works fine and I want to store my configuration in configurator.

What I did is:

1. In Device->Configuration I select Active Serial configuration and choose device EPCS4 (number from mini board)

2. Build design

3. Open programmer, select Active Serial in mode

4. Confirm dialogs.

5. Click Add Device, select EPCS4 from available list

6. Select .pof file and choose program configuration checkbox (see attached screenshot)

7. Start programming, no error reported, ASP erased and then reprogrammed.

8. Disconnect usb blaster and repower board

9. Observe that device is dead...

Can you please tell me what did I miss in my steps?

Thank you.

Regards,

Evgeny.

Try erasing the EPCS before programming.

I finally found what it was. There is another configuratin option - generate compressed bitstreams, which by default it enabled, but should be switched off in order to work..

Thanks.

Yes, I don't know if the Cyclone II supports compressed configuration streams. The tool should know this and turn it off if it is unsupported.
