Agilex 7 Power Sequencing WITHIN a Power Group

Hello Intel community!

I am designing the power solution for an Agilex 7 F-series device and am hoping I can find a little more information pertaining to how exactly the voltage rails turn on.

I have read the support documentation and understand the voltage rails are separated into 3 groups with Group 1 voltage rails needing to be at 90% of their nominal voltage level before you can start turning on Group 2 voltage rails and so forth.

Since there are multiple voltage rails within a single group, is there any timing information or sequencing of voltage rails within a single group? More specifically, I am wondering if there are delays between group 2 voltages: VCCCLK_GXF, VCCH_FGT_GXFR, VCCPLL_HPS, etc.

I have one regulator that is powering multiple group 2 voltage rails. If all of them start drawing current at the same time, the resulting voltage droop will put us below the acceptable voltage minimum. I haven't found anything in the documentation on if these rails within a group will turn-on simultaneously and how they start drawing current once they are up.

Any information or personal experience with the Agilex 7 voltage sequencing would be helpful!

Hi,

Sorry for the delay. For your information, all power rails in Group 1 must ramp up (in any order) to a minimum of 90% of their respective nominal voltage before the power rails from Group 2 can start ramping up. The power rails within Group 2 can ramp up in any order after the last power rail in Group 1 ramps to the minimum threshold of 90% of its nominal voltage.

For more information regarding the power sequence of Agilex 7, it can be accessed through the link below.

Hope that helps and do let me know if I can assist you any further.
