Hello, please, we have two FPGA chips Arria II GX (EP2AGX65DF25C6G )with new suffix "G", but they have different packages. Is it possible, that FPGA´s manufactures release the same type of FPGA with different packages? Is it all OK, or it is not possible?

Photos in attatchment.

Thank you in advance for answer.

Regards,

JD

Hi there,

According to ADV 1828, "There will be modifications to the package form and fit for Stratix III & Arria II GX (lidless package)." Therefore, there's a possibility that Arria II GX devices with the same Part Number are different in packaging.

You can see from the Date-code on the Top Marking of these two different Arria II GX devices, the lidless one was produced in 2021 and the one with lid was in 2022.
